Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full‑time, 35 hours per week with flexibility for out‑of‑hours events

Salary: Circa £65,000 per annum

Prospectus is partnering with a leading science and research organisation to recruit a Corporate Social Responsibility Manager focusing on Social Impact and Community Engagement. This role is based onsite in Cambridgeshire and provides the platform to translate strategy into tangible outcomes in employability, access to opportunity and community engagement. You will play a central role in ensuring local people benefit directly from the organisation’s growth, building partnerships, creating pathways into work and establishing initiatives that generate lasting social and economic value.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a practical social impact and employability strategy.
  • Own initiatives currently delivered across multiple functions.
  • Work closely with planning, development and communications colleagues.
  • Shape and deliver against complex funding arrangements.
  • Engage with local authorities and key stakeholders.
  • Act as a visible ambassador for the campus.
  • Attend council meetings, develop programmes and partnerships.
  • Build partnerships, create pathways into work and establish initiatives with lasting social and economic value.

Qualifications

  • Experience of delivering community impact and socio‑economic initiatives in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
  • Strong relationship building skills, comfortable navigating ambiguity and influence.
  • Motivated by the opportunity to create meaningful community impact.
  • Background may vary – development, local authority, consultancy or the social impact sector – but a practical, delivery‑focused mindset is required.
