Scholarship Overview
Deakin Vice‑Chancellor’s Meritorious 100% Scholarship provides full tuition coverage for academically talented Indian students who wish to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate studies at Deakin University. The scholarship also offers priority access to on‑campus accommodation and participation in the Vice‑Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program to develop leadership and professional skills.
Eligibility Criteria
- Indian citizens with a valid passport residing in India at time of application.
- Application through a Deakin Authorized Agent based in India.
- Academic requirements:
- 85 % overall in Year 12 (CBSE, ICSE, or State Board)
- 10 overall in GCSE/A Level
- 32 overall in IBDP
- 80 % overall in an undergraduate degree
- Open to all study areas offered at Deakin University.
Selection Criteria
- Academic excellence: high scores in eligible qualifications.
- Leadership potential demonstrated through community involvement.
- Motivation: a well‑articulated personal statement outlining goals, reasons for choosing Deakin, and potential contribution.
- References: strong references highlighting leadership and community engagement.
Application Essentials
Applicants should provide the following documents when applying to Deakin University through an authorized agent:
- Personal statement (300 words) – explain motivation, highlight extracurricular experiences, and explain why the applicant will be an ambassador for Deakin.
- Two references for community engagement and leadership skills.
