Centre Manager

Job Summary

Full‑time Centre Manager at Halfords Garage Services, Greenock, Inverclyde.

Base salary: £40,000 per year with an uncapped monthly bonus averaging £11,000. Full‑time role: 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of around 11 technicians and service advisors.
• Accountable for the day‑to‑day running of the centre, maximising profit and minimising loss.
• Optimise workforce scheduling to meet customer demand.
• Analyse customer metrics and centre performance data to deliver against and exceed sales margin and profit targets.
• Provide coaching and training to colleagues in the moment.
• Manage capability and performance of the team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Track record of exceeding customer metrics and sales targets.
• Experience in coaching/training colleagues during service.
• Management experience including capability and performance management.
• IT proficiency, especially Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with an aptitude to learn in‑house systems.
• Current full valid driving licence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
