We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to join a high-profile MOD programme delivering secure, mission‑critical network capabilities. This is a hands‑on architecture role requiring deep technical expertise across modern data centre and wide area networking technologies.

Working within a highly secure environment, you will be responsible for designing, assuring and evolving complex network architectures that support large‑scale digital transformation and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure network architectures for enterprise and defence environments.
• Produce high and low‑level network designs, technical documentation and implementation plans.
• Lead network architecture decisions across data centre, campus and WAN environments.
• Provide technical assurance and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering, security and delivery teams to ensure successful deployment of network solutions.
• Support troubleshooting and optimisation of complex network infrastructures.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Active DV Clearance.
• Proven experience operating as a Network Architect within complex enterprise or defence environments.
• Strong expertise in:
  • BGP
  • EVPN‑VXLAN
  • Software Defined Networking (SDN)
  • WAN Architecture and Design
• Experience with modern data centre networking technologies and architectures.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and secure‑by‑design approaches.
• Ability to produce detailed technical designs and architecture documentation.
• Experience working within large‑scale transformation or infrastructure programmes.
• Experience delivering solutions within MOD
