About the opportunity
We are expanding our Bridges & Structures team at a time when investment in infrastructure renewal, sustainability and asset resilience is creating exciting technical challenges across the industry. As a Senior Engineer you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects spanning highways, rail, aviation, energy and power, from assessing and extending the life of existing assets to designing innovative new structures. You will collaborate with specialists across the UK and internationally while remaining closely connected to project delivery and client outcomes.
Responsibilities
You will play a key role in shaping the infrastructure people rely on every day, improving the resilience of ageing bridge assets, delivering complex structures for major transport programmes, and helping clients reduce carbon through smarter engineering decisions. Your expertise will influence the quality, safety and sustainability of critical infrastructure across the UK. You will solve challenging technical problems, guide less experienced engineers, influence project outcomes and play a visible role in delivering projects that have a lasting impact on communities, transport networks and the environment.
Here’s what you’ll need
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status or a clear pathway towards achieving chartership in the near future
- Experience delivering structural engineering projects within infrastructure, transportation, energy, utilities or related sectors
- Strong structural analysis, design and engineering problem‑solving capability
- Experience leading elements of project delivery, coordinating stakeholders and managing technical outputs
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in asset management, structures renewals and post‑tensioned structures, including post‑tensioned special inspections (PTSI).
