Stock Planning Lead – Procurement Team
You’ll be joining the engine room of Bloom & Wild’s fastest-growing categories. While we are known for our flowers, our Procurement team provides the operational and supply chain foundation for our non‑horticultural range. Our team is divided into two clear pillars: Strategic Procurement and Stock Planning. As the Stock Planning Lead, you will report to the Head of Procurement & Inventory, act as the architect of our operational procurement function and build the scalable systems we need to grow.
Responsibilities
- Build & Scale the Function
You’ll be the architect of our non‑horticultural stock planning strategy, setting the vision to turn rapid business growth into a sophisticated, high‑performing operational machine.
- Master Stock Availability
Lead your team to ensure optimal stock levels across all sites, balancing high availability with the need to minimise waste and holding costs, navigating multi‑site space constraints.
- Develop & Automate
Build scalable, custom, automated supply chain and inventory tools, develop AI workflows to eliminate manual data entry and calculation tasks, and map the transition to long‑term, robust systems.
- Process & KPI Leadership
Develop standardised processes and frameworks, lead weekly KPI reviews to shift the function from reactive problem‑solving to proactive inventory and risk management.
- Team Transformation & Development
Provide oversight, coaching, and mentorship to a team of stock planners, transitioning them from manual execution to analytical decision‑making.
- Strategic Growth & Inventory Control
De‑risk the launch of new ranges by ensuring our operational infrastructure is mature enough to handle increased SKU counts, and collaborate with the commercial team on inventory levels to protect availability and cash flow.
- Operational Execution
Support planning and execution when needed, ensuring continuity, especially during peak periods.
- 3PW Performance Management
Measure and manage performance of our 3PW partner against agreed SLA terms.
- Supplier Performance
Build internal operational performance reporting and supplier tiering, and implement initiatives to improve operational supplier performance.
