Programme Management Office (PMO) Officer
Starting salary between £38128 and £41673 per annum
Based at King’s Court Council Office, Kings Lynn, with hybrid working
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated PMO Officer to join our growing Programme Management Office team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and support the delivery of some of the Council’s most important projects and transformation initiatives, ensuring that programmes are managed effectively and deliver real benefits for our communities.
Working closely with the PMO Manager, you will play a key role in developing and embedding project and programme management standards, systems and processes across the organisation. You will help drive continuous improvement, support effective governance arrangements and ensure that high‑quality management information is available to enable informed decision‑making by senior officers and elected members.
The role offers a varied and rewarding workload, including programme monitoring and reporting, document management and control, analysing project performance information, supporting governance meetings and helping to implement technology solutions that improve reporting and oversight. You will work with colleagues from across the Council, supporting both project teams and the wider Transformation Programme to ensure projects remain on track and deliver their intended outcomes.
We are looking for someone who combines strong organisational and analytical skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. You will have experience working in a project‑related environment, a good understanding of project management principles, and the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently. Experience of working with senior managers and producing high‑quality reports and performance information will be particularly valuable.
