Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Contracts Manager to join the growing team based just outside of Bristol. In this role, you will lead high‑profile projects, delivering mechanical installations and solutions across various sectors and progressing in a supportive, forward‑thinking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical contracts from inception to completion, overseeing installation, commissioning, and handover while ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and project delivery that exceeds expectations.
  • Manage budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and resource planning to complete works safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Apply knowledge of mechanical systems to guide teams, ensuring designs, installations, and upgrades meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Anticipate and resolve technical and logistical challenges, introducing innovative solutions for smooth delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
  • Champion health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies, evolving regulations, and industry trends to reinforce the business as a trusted leader.

Package

  • Salary: £65,000 – £73,000, depending on experience

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in mechanical contracts management within the building services sector, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes.
  • Familiarity with building services engineering standards, regulations, and health and safety requirements.
