Job Description:

Senior Frontend Engineer – 3D Graphics, Digital Twins & Geospatial Visualisation

Hybrid | Competitive Salary + Equity + Equity + Outstanding Benefits

Build the next generation of mission-critical visual technology.

We’re partnering with one of the UK’s most exciting defence technology start-ups—a rapidly scaling business bringing together exceptional engineers from Palantir, Microsoft, Tractable and other world-leading technology companies.

Their mission is to build cutting-edge software that gives users unparalleled awareness of complex, real-world environments. Think digital twins, real-time situational awareness, AI-powered analytics, geospatial intelligence, sensor fusion and immersive 3D visualisation.

They’re now looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help shape the visual experiences behind these next-generation platforms.

This is a chance to work on products that push the boundaries of modern frontend engineering, blending beautiful user experiences with complex data, real-time systems and advanced graphics.

What you’ll be building

  • High-performance 3D digital twin applications that mirror real-world environments.
  • Interactive geospatial mapping platforms combining live operational and sensor data.
  • Rich data visualisation tools that transform millions of data points into intuitive, actionable insights.
  • Immersive mission planning and situational awareness interfaces.
  • Real-time dashboards powered by streaming data and AI-driven analytics.
  • Next-generation visual platforms that fuse software, hardware and autonomous systems into a seamless user experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building modern frontend applications using TypeScript, React and modern web technologies.
  • Developing high-performance 3D graphics using technologies such as Three.js, WebGL, Babylon.js or similar.
  • Creating advanced mapping experiences using platforms such as Mapbox, Cesium, Leaflet or comparable GIS technologies.
  • Building sophisticated data visualisations using libraries such as D3.js, Deck.gl or similar.
  • Optimising rendering performance for large-scale datasets and real-time visualisation.
  • Working alongside software, systems, AI and hardware engineers to build truly integrated products.
  • Helping shape the technical direction of an engineering-first organisation.

What they’re looking for

You’ll likely have experience with several of the following:

  • 3D graphics, rendering or visualisation technologies.
  • Digital twins, simulation platforms or interactive visual environments.
  • Geospatial technologies, GIS or mapping platforms.
  • Real-time data processing and streaming applications.
  • Data visualisation and analytical interfaces.
  • Performance optimisation for graphics-heavy web applications.
  • A passion for solving technically challenging problems and building products that genuinely make an impact.
  • Work alongside an exceptional engineering team from Palantir, Microsoft, Tractable and other elite technology companies.
  • Build products at the intersection of AI, digital twins, autonomy, geospatial intelligence, sensor fusion and advanced visualisation.
  • Solve complex engineering challenges using cutting-edge technology with real-world impact.
  • Join a fast-growing, well-funded start-up where you’ll have genuine influence over both the product and engineering direction.
  • Competitive salary, equity and an excellent benefits package.
  • Hybrid working with a collaborative, engineering-first culture that values innovation, autonomy and technical excellence.

If you’re excited by 3D graphics, digital twins, mapping, real-time systems and building software that’s pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, I’d love to tell you more about this opportunity.
