Cloud Platform Architect – London – £90k–£110k + Benefits
The Opportunity
We are hiring a Cloud Platform Architect to help design and build the cloud platform for a brand-new international iGaming operator as they launch across Europe and beyond.
This is a genuinely rare opportunity to join a well-funded startup where cloud architecture, automation and scalability sit at the heart of the engineering strategy.
You’ll take ownership of the company’s cloud platform, DevOps tooling and infrastructure automation as the business scales across multiple regulated markets.
Working closely with the CTO and founders, you’ll help build a secure, scalable, cloud‑native platform capable of supporting millions of daily transactions and high-volume real‑time data processing.
This is far more than an operational role. You’ll influence cloud architecture, improve automation, optimise infrastructure, shape engineering standards and have genuine ownership over the future platform.
The business is heavily invested in AI, automation and modern engineering practices, with a collaborative culture where engineers are encouraged to influence technical direction from day one.
Technology
You’ll work across a modern cloud-native technology stack including:
- Terraform
- GitHub Actions
- ArgoCD
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Bash / Python
- Observability & Monitoring
- Security & Automation
AWS or Azure experience is also welcomed.
About You
You could currently be working as a:
- Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
You’ll ideally have experience with:
- Designing cloud-native infrastructure
- Terraform & Infrastructure as Code
- CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Cloud architecture for high-volume transactional systems
- Infrastructure automation and developer platforms
- Scripting with Bash, Python or similar
Experience within iGaming, fintech, payments, eCommerce or other high-traffic, highly available environments would be beneficial but isn’t essential.

Engineering is based primarily in London, supported by teams in Malta, with a genuine startup culture focused on ownership, collaboration and continuous learning.
You’ll work directly with senior leadership and play a key role in defining the engineering platform as the business expands internationally.
