Company Description

FITFILE Group Limited is a well-resourced health data technology scale‑up founded in 2020. The company transforms the value of health data through a peerless decentralised approach to access and computation, serving NHS Trusts and major pharma players in a market projected to grow to at least £7bn within five years.

Job Description

You will own the technical delivery and maintenance of customer environments for FITFILE Group Limited’s health data platform. Balancing deep engineering execution with cross‑functional coordination, you’ll bridge the gap between core engineering and high‑profile clients like the NHS. This hands‑on role involves writing production code, managing deployments, and solving complex infrastructure challenges.

Location

London, UK / Remote

Why this role is remarkable

  • Work on technically complex health data problems with real‑world consequences for research and patient outcomes alongside an experienced, results‑oriented leadership team.
  • Join a well‑resourced scale‑up with unique, internationally patented linkage technology and no direct competition in an addressable market estimated at £7bn.
  • Enjoy a virtual‑first model with genuine flexibility, a flat structure where engineers directly influence operations, and dedicated time/budget for professional development.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the technical implementation of software into client environments, provisioning infrastructure via Terraform and managing application deployment using Argo CD.
  • Build and ship production features across the full stack using TypeScript, Node.js, and Python while optimizing complex queries within PostgreSQL databases.
  • Act as the primary technical bridge for NHS and pharma customers, managing discovery, explaining complex technical trade‑offs, and ensuring environment stability.

The ideal candidate

  • Has 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems, with a proven track record of owning technical problems end‑to‑end.
  • Possesses deep technical proficiency in TypeScript, Python, and SQL, alongside hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Demonstrates experience working within healthcare domains (NHS or Life Sciences), understanding the sensitivity, structure, and legal governance of patient data.
