Are you passionate about clarity and committed to a high standard of accuracy in scientific communications?Oxford PharmaGenesis is looking for a meticulous and energetic Senior Medical Editor. This role is based in our London office, with a hybrid working pattern.

You will havepreviousexperience copy-editing scientific publications and meeting materials, and you will be comfortable working on both print and digital deliverables in a fast-paced environment. This isa great opportunityto join a close-knit, supportive editorial team and to work with talented Medical Writers, AccountManagersand Artwork colleagues on a wide variety of project types.

Key responsibilities

  • Edit a diverse range of scientific materials, including manuscripts, slide decks, abstracts,postersand digital materials, in adherence with the relevant style guides.
  • Conduct thorough proofreading, including detailed checks of typeset layouts and figure redraws, as well as journal proofs.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to help ensure that projects are delivered by the deadline and to budget.
  • Create and update account-specific style guides as needed.
  • Attend team meetings, helping to shape workflows, promote best practices and adapt to client needs.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Medical Editor who has:

  • a science,Englishor related bachelor’s degree
  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare communications or journal publishing, with ideally 1–2 years of focus on editing publications and medical communications deliverables
  • proficiencyin Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and AdobeAcrobat
  • an exceptional eye for detail, with a strong command of English and knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology
  • good working knowledge of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) code of practice and Good Publications Practice (GPP) best practice guidelines
  • excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to work on multiple projectssimultaneously, independently and as a team player
  • a positive mindset and a ‛can do’ enthusiastic attitude.
