The Opportunity
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in protecting and strengthening the organisation’s financial control environment while helping the finance function evolve for the future.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Group’s financial controls and governance framework.
- Acting as the technical lead on complex accounting matters and reporting issues.
- Driving improvements that enhance efficiency, quality and control across finance.
- Owning the relationship with external auditors and leading the audit process.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to provide guidance and challenge.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing a high-performing finance team.
- Supporting strategic finance initiatives and wider transformation projects.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and building strong relationships across a business. You’ll combine technical excellence with the ability to influence, challenge and inspire others.
We’re particularly keen to speak with candidates who have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
- Experience within financial control, governance, audit or risk-focused environments.
- A passion for improving controls and finding smarter ways of working.
- Previous team leadership or mentoring experience.
- The confidence to engage senior stakeholders and drive positive change.
