About the Role
Position at The Medicine Chest pharmacy located within Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Birmingham Women’s Hospital. This role focuses on delivering specialised pharmacy services to children and women.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and deliver the clinical pharmacy service to ensure all patients receive outstanding pharmaceutical care.
- Supervise, motivate and support the team to ensure smooth and efficient flow of work.
- Work with the Pharmacy and wider multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality improvement projects to enhance patient care, efficiency and safety across a number of clinical areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing enquiries and concerns of patients, families and healthcare staff with professionalism and empathy.
- Work in close coordination with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management for paediatric patients.
- Utilise pharmacy software systems to process prescriptions and maintain accurate documentation.
