This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Meetings and Events Duty Manager to join an outstanding luxury property in North Yorkshire, known for exceptional hospitality, beautiful surroundings and memorable guest experiences from arrival through to departure.

This role is focused within the meetings and events operation, supporting the delivery of exceptional weddings, corporate events, private celebrations, banqueting and conference experiences. No two days are the same, and every event needs to feel seamless, polished and personal for guests.

Meetings and Events Duty Manager Ideal Profile

  • Previous experience within meetings, events, banqueting or hospitality supervision
  • Confident leading a busy events operation within a quality or luxury setting
  • A natural people person who enjoys building relationships with guests
  • Passionate about creating memorable experiences throughout every event
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and changing priorities
  • Confident leading, motivating and supporting a team during busy service periods
  • Excellent communication skills with a calm and professional approach
  • Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude towards evenings, weekends and busy event schedules
  • Ambitious to grow within a luxury property with strong training and development opportunities

Meetings and Events Duty Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead meetings, weddings and events from start to finish, ensuring every function runs smoothly
  • Maintain exceptional service standards across conferences, banqueting, weddings and private events
  • Supervise and support the meetings and events team throughout service
  • Allocate responsibilities, motivate colleagues and lead by example during busy event periods
  • Support the training, coaching and development of team members
  • Complete daily operational procedures including opening and closing duties, shift reports, event billing and management handovers
  • Work closely with management and other departments to ensure strong communication and efficient event delivery
  • Support guest requests, service challenges and operational changes with confidence and professionalism
  • Help create a positive team culture focused on service, standards and memorable hospitality
