Commissioning Lead Engineer – Reading

Location – Reading

Mint Selection are supporting a leading energy infrastructure contractor who are seeking an experienced Commissioning Lead Engineer / Commissioning Engineer on a contract basis to support the delivery of a major energy infrastructure project.

This is a key role responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering electrical commissioning activities, ensuring systems are commissioned safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.

Scope of Work

• Lead and support electrical commissioning activities across the project
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures and test documentation
• Coordinate commissioning activities with construction, engineering and client teams
• Support system testing, energisation and final handover activities
• Manage commissioning records, punch lists and completion documentation
• Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning and start-up
• Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out safely and in accordance with project procedures

Experience to be Considered

• Proven experience as a Commissioning Lead Engineer or Commissioning Engineer
• Strong background delivering commissioning activities on power, transmission, renewable energy or major infrastructure projects
• Experience with electrical testing, system energisation and handover
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients and contractors
• Strong understanding of commissioning processes, safety procedures and project documentation

Certifications & Requirements

• Relevant electrical qualification (HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent)
• Experience commissioning HV/LV electrical systems
• Previous renewable energy, transmission, substation or power generation experience desirable
• Full UK driving licence

This is an opportunity with an immediate start available.
