Responsibilities
- Maintain the basic condition of the machines within your line and perform improvement activities, as well as repairing breakdowns.
- Drive a safe culture and eliminate safety risks within the workplace.
- Ensure that all products are manufactured according to quality standards.
- Drive continuous excellence and improvements in key operational business processes throughout manufacturing.
- Collaborate with the Autonomous Working Groups (AWG-production teams) to drive improvements using tools such as inspections, abnormalities identification, centerlining, breakdown analysis, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
Requirements
- Educated to apprenticeship level NVQ 3 or hold a recognised engineering qualification in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
- A passion for continuous improvement and the ability to implement enhancements in processes.
- Knowledge of planned preventative asset maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis tools and problem-solving methodologies.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing tools, including Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Proven mechanical comprehension and awareness of food safety and food handling standards.
- Ability to understand and adhere to strict hygiene rules and safety compliance standards.
