Your mission

Allsaved is a growing fire protection company delivering trusted, practical, fire safety solutions across a wider range of sectors, from utilities to commercial and residential.

We are expanding our Fire Engineering department as we continue to take on large-scale fire strategy projects, and we are looking for an experienced Fire Engineer to help lead this exciting next phase.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee fire strategy projects through all stages – from concept design through to detailed design, construction and handover
  • Develop and review fire safety strategies, risk assessments, and compliance reviews for a variety of building types (commercial, residential, and utilities). Experience of BAFE SP205 auditing
  • Provide expert guidance on UK fire safety legislation, Approved Document B, BS 9999, and other relevant standards.
  • Act as technical lead to embed fire safety solutions across all design stages.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level fire engineers, reviewing technical output and helping to develop their technical and professional skills.
  • Contribute to business development, support tender submissions, attend client meetings if and when needed, and help grow client relationships.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes, best practices, and innovations within the fire engineering industry.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in fire engineering, ideally with exposure to a variety of sectors (commercial, residential, utilities, or infrastructure).
  • Relevant degree in Fire Engineering, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status (MIFireE or similar).
  • Strong understanding of fire engineering design principles, fire strategy development, and fire modelling.
  • Experience in AutoCAD and other relevant design/modelling tools such as BlueBeam.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership qualities with experience in mentoring or managing others.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline (e.g. Safety and Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Keen interest in pursuing a career in fire engineering.
