Geography Teacher – September Start Vision for Education

Vision for Education is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Colchester area from September.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop a deeper understanding of the world around them while fostering curiosity about environmental, social, and global issues.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Plan and prepare lessons that meet curriculum requirements and support student progress.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage learners of all abilities.
• Monitor, assess, and report on student achievement.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and participation.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to raising attainment and supporting student success.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
