This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior lawyer who wants to develop quickly, gain significant responsibility from the outset and work closely alongside an experienced Employment Partner on a broad range of high-quality matters.
Unlike larger firms where progression can be slower, this role offers direct access to senior expertise, hands-on mentoring and a clear path towards managing your own caseload at an early stage in your career.
You will advise on a varied mix of both respondent and claimant employment matters, including:
- Discrimination and whistleblowing matters
- Settlement agreements
- Redundancy and restructuring projects
- Disciplinary and grievance issues
- Employment contracts and workplace policies
- Day-to-day HR and employment law advice
The firm boasts a substantial and longstanding employment client base, ensuring a steady flow of interesting and complex instructions across a wide range of sectors.
Applications are welcomed from candidates who:
- Are NQ to 1 year PQE
- Have gained employment law experience during training or post-qualification
- Have previous Employment Paralegal experience (highly advantageous)
- Enjoy acting for both employers and employees
- Are ambitious and eager to take on responsibility
- Have strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ideally live in or around South Manchester or Cheshire
- Work directly with an experienced Employment Partner
- Exposure to high-quality claimant and respondent matters
- Develop technical and commercial skills quickly
