Job Purpose
Working closely with the Information Service Manager, the NPIS Edinburgh Data Manager is responsible for anticipating future data requirements, maintaining and developing databases and responding to data requests in a timely manner. This includes the scoping of hardware/software to support information management, the implementation of new methodologies and provision of training where appropriate.
Provide support to NPIS Edinburgh by ensuring that data outputs generated, and analyses undertaken are of a consistently high standard. The postholder will provide end-to-end project support in all areas of development, maintenance, delivery and analysis of NPIS Edinburgh information resources, including TOXBASE website, the TOXBASE App, the TOXBASE usage database and TOXlearning, an online e-learning resource.
To interrogate TOXBASE usage data as part of complaints management, User queries, coroner’s enquiries, annual report production and quality metrics to ensure that the NPIS Edinburgh is provided with timely, accurate and robust data to support performance and service delivery.
