About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a Quality Manager to join our Delivery Excellence team and help shape how major engineering and infrastructure projects are delivered.

This is a role for someone who sees quality as more than compliance. You’ll work alongside Programme Directors, Project Managers, Technical Directors, and project teams to embed effective quality management practices that improve project performance, reduce risk, and strengthen client confidence.

Supporting a diverse portfolio of programmes and projects, you’ll help teams navigate complex contractual, regulatory, and governance requirements while ensuring quality is embedded throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll develop practical quality plans, assurance processes, and governance frameworks that support successful delivery rather than create unnecessary bureaucracy.

Working across project teams, clients, and delivery partners, you’ll identify risks and opportunities early, lead reviews and audits, support root cause investigations, and use project data and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement. You’ll also play a key role in helping teams improve ways of working, share best practice, and deliver better outcomes for clients and stakeholders.

What makes this opportunity different is the breadth of influence you’ll have. Rather than focusing solely on audits or compliance activities, you’ll work closely with project leadership and technical specialists to improve how projects are planned, governed, and delivered.

Success in this role means helping project teams consistently achieve high standards, reducing quality‑related risks, strengthening delivery performance, and creating a culture where continuous improvement becomes part of everyday project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering quality management within engineering, infrastructure, design, construction, or related project environments.
  • Practical understanding of quality management systems and their application within projects and programmes.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 with experience applying quality management principles in complex delivery environments.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience developing or supporting project quality plans, assurance activities, or governance processes.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, including the ability to facilitate investigations and identify root causes.

Work That Matters

You’ll have the opportunity to influence the quality and performance of high‑profile engineering and infrastructure projects that deliver meaningful outcomes for clients and communities.

Flexibility

We recognise that people perform at their best when they can balance work and life commitments. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available where project requirements allow.

Rewards and Benefits

In addition to a competitive salary, you’ll have access to a comprehensive benefits package, professional development opportunities, and support for ongoing learning and career progression.

EEO Statement

As a disability‑confident employer, we will interview disabled candidates who best meet the criteria. We welcome applications from candidates who are seeking flexible working and from those who may not meet all the listed requirements for a role.
