We are seeking an Executive Business Manager (EBM) to join a government led organisation within Healthcare. Our client is going through a period of transformation with new policies, teams and processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a data driven candidate to provide support to the governance and performance reporting processes.
Our client offers a fantastic package include hybrid working (2 days per week office based 3 days working from home, flexible working hours and a generous annual leave allowance.
Acting as a highly organised and proactive professional, the successful EBM will be responsible for analysing data, maintaining systems and producing high-quality outputs that will be used for decision‑making at senior level, including Council members and the Board. The role plays a critical part in ensuring processes run smoothly, information is accurate and timely, and business management activity is consistently delivered to standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operation of the directorate’s governance framework including governance submissions, actions, preparing papers and maintaining logs.
- Draft governance papers, briefing notes and action trackers.
- Maintain clear audit trails.
- Coordinate the operational delivery of directorate business planning cycles.
- Produce regular performance packs and submissions.
- Maintain performance trackers, supporting effective reporting and escalation.
- Support analysis of management information
- Support in maintaining the directorate risk register.
- Coordinate risk reviews.
- Track actions and deadlines, supporting timely escalation where required.
- Prepare risk‑related materials to support discussions with the SLT.
- Build and maintain excellent productive internal relationships across directorate functions.
- Provide operational support to the wider executive support team on priorities across governance, planning, performance and risk.
- Lead on projects, ensuring actions are delivered to time and standard.
The successful Executive Business Manager (EBM) must be confident with all aspects of board support and will have previously worked as a Business Assistant, EA, Private Secretary or Business Manager within the public sector. Prior experience working with governance would also be very beneficial.
This is a 6 month FTC so all applicants must be immediately available.
