Job Description
Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) is a statutory body of the Queensland Government and the state’s lead tourism marketing, destination and experience development and major events agency.
Love travel, building relationships and inspiring others? Tourism and Events Queensland is looking for a passionate and energetic Trade Manager to become one of the key faces of Queensland in the UK and Northern Europe travel industry. Based in London, this highly varied role combines trade engagement, destination advocacy, training, presentations, partnership development and marketing campaign delivery to grow visitation to Queensland.
No two days are the same. One day you might be presenting to a room full of travel agents, the next representing Queensland at a major trade event, managing a partner marketing campaign or analysing results and budgets. Working closely with Tourism Australia and the broader Australian tourism community in London, you’ll play an important role in shaping how Queensland is represented in market.
Anticipated start date: late-August 2026.

We’re looking for someone who loves connecting with people, is confident presenting and training, thrives on variety, and has the energy and enthusiasm to inspire others to choose Queensland. In addition, the successful candidate will have:
- Exceptional presentation, public speaking and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to train, influence and build trusted relationships across the travel industry.
- Confidence representing a destination, tourism brand or organisation at industry events and external forums.
- Demonstrated success developing and managing multi-partner marketing campaigns from planning through to reporting.
- Strong initiative, enthusiasm and the ability to inspire others through storytelling and destination advocacy.
- A willingness to travel across the UK, Europe and Queensland, Australia.
