We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Respiratory Physician with a specialist interest in Interstitial Lung Disease to join one of the UK’s largest and most research-active ILD services. The successful candidate will join a nationally commissioned tertiary referral centre providing specialist care for patients with pulmonary fibrosis, connective tissue disease-associated ILD, sarcoidosis, genetic ILD and drug-induced ILD. This post offers outstanding opportunities to develop specialist expertise, participate in clinical trials and translational research, contribute to innovative service development, and work within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team with strong academic links to University College London.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist ILD outpatient clinics.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
- Provide inpatient consultations.
- Assess and manage patients referred from across London and the UK.
- Participate in service development, education and training of junior medical staff and allied health professionals.
- Contribute to maintaining and enhancing a high-quality, evidence-based ILD service.
