Are you an experienced Healthcare Support Worker looking for a fast-paced and rewarding role? Join our friendly team atLymington Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), where we provide high-quality care for patients with minor injuries and illnesses.
As part of our GP-led, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll play a key role in supporting clinicians and ensuring the smooth running of the department. No two days are the same – you’ll be involved in direct patient care, emergency support, and helping to keep our service running efficiently.
1 position available : 1 x Bank position
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting clinicians with wound care, burns management, plaster application, and dressings.
- Taking clinical observations, recording ECGs, and monitoring patients of all ages.
- Assisting with emergency care (CPR, anaphylaxis management, defibrillation – within your scope).
- Performing venepuncture and cannulation (following training and competency).
- Maintaining infection control standards and a safe, clean department.
- Helping with stock control, ordering, and departmental organisation.
- Providing excellent communication and reassurance to patients and carers.
- Supporting reception during busy times, including patient registration.
About you:
Essential:
- GCSE/O Level English (or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare / Care Certificate (or equivalent knowledge through practice).
- At least 2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a UTC, GP surgery, or emergency department.
- Skills in wound care, dressings, plastering, ECGs, or venepuncture.
