Vehicle Service Technician
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 Per year
Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:30pm
Are you a skilled Vehicle Technician looking for a workshop where quality work, variety and a great team come first?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well established independent garage with an excellent reputation for delivering first class workmanship and customer service. They work on a wide range of vehicles and are looking to expand their team with an experienced Service Technician.
An MOT Testing licence would be a real advantage, but it isn’t essential. If you’re a strong technician who enjoys servicing, repairs and diagnostics, we’d still love to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance.
- Replace cambelts, clutches and turbochargers.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
- Complete vehicle inspections and health checks.
- Carry out MOT tests if you hold a valid MOT Testing licence.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate job records and communicate any additional work required.
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time‑served equivalent).
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Mechanic.
- Confident carrying out servicing, repairs and general mechanical work.
- Experience with cambelts, clutches, turbos and diagnostics.
- A valid MOT Testing licence is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
