Substation Fitter

VGC Group are recruiting for the following position:

Role – 2 x Mechanical Fitters (Substation)

Location – Peterhead (AB42 3BZ)

Salary/Rate – £34 (PAYE + Holiday Pay), Weekend overtime rate £51

Duration – Monday 3rd August – Friday 28th September

Overview

VGC Group are currently looking for 2 x fitters for SGT (Super Grid Transformer) replacement works in Peterhead.

Required Experience

Previous experience as a mechanical fitter in a substation environment. Experience with SGT replacements also desirable.

Required Qualifications

• EUSR Utility SHEA Power
• SSE Cat 1c, Entry to a distribution or primary substation with exposed conductors
• First Aid (Training can be organised)
• Manual Handling (Training can be organised)
• COSHH Awareness (Training can be organised)
• Fire Safety Awareness (Training can be organised)
