Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, including system checks, inspections, and servicing.
- Diagnose and repair faults across plumbing, heating, and water hygiene systems.
- Respond to reactive maintenance tasks such as leaks, blockages, and system faults.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and support inventory management.
- Support general site operations by ensuring systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
This position involves manual work, including lifting, bending, using tools, or standing for extended periods.
Location is onsite at Chatham. Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30, totaling 40 hours per week. Overtime is available.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrable plumbing experience, ideally within a commercial or facilities environment.
- Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Ability to fault find and repair a range of mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Strong understanding of health and safety and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Relevant plumbing qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
