HGV Mechanic

Mobile Fleet Support needs an experienced HGV mechanic to join our workshop in Luton. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that strives to train and develop all employees to reach their full potential.

• Shifts: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday + Overtime available
• Salary: £17-£18.50, depending on experience + enhanced overtime rates
• Contract: Permanent, full time

Main Duties:

You will be responsible for vehicle repairs, safety inspections, and MOT preparations. We require a responsible and independent HGV mechanic who can work on various vehicles, from commercial to small vans.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out safety inspections
• Preventative maintenance checks
• Services
• MOT preparations
• Engine, gearbox, transmission, drive train, and clutch work
• Associated paperwork, reporting, and administration

About You:

• Must have a driving license
• Driving License Class 1 and Class 2 would be an advantage
• Reliable, trustworthy, literate, and able to work on your own initiative
• Must be flexible
• Previous experience is essentialCity & Guilds qualified or NVQ qualified in vehicle maintenance

Work Location:

Luton workshop with occasional travel in the area.
