Position

Permanent Powder Coater / Paint Line Technician – St. Helens, England.

About the Role

This role involves producing high‑quality powder‑coated components to exact customer specifications, ensuring products meet the highest quality standards before moving to the next stage of manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Powder coating of components.
  • Ensure the correct operation of the paint line and set procedures.
  • Operate handheld powder coating guns along the automatic line.
  • Preparation and masking of parts to be painted.
  • Inspection, analysis, and documentation of powder‑coated products in line with specification.
  • Correct loading, unloading and inspection of items on and off the paint line.
  • Correct handling and storage of materials.
  • Correct hanging of items to be painted, using hooks and jigs to maximize efficiency.
  • Masking items to drawings and specifications before they enter the painting process.
  • Safely moving parts in and out of the department.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous powder coating or paint plant experience.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Ability to interpret job tickets.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.

What We Offer

  • Salary: £26,793.00 per annum.
  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am – 12:30 pm.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Stable, expanding company.
