Location: Bradford, England

Hours: Monday to Wednesday 07:00‑17:00, Thursday 07:00‑16:30, Friday overtime paid at time and a half.

Pay: £13.46 rising to £14.45 per hour.

Contract: Ongoing temporary.

About the role

We’re looking for a Metal Finisher to support the finishing of fabricated metal components. This role is ideal for someone confident using hand and power tools and comfortable working in a fast‑paced engineering or manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for preparing metal parts to required quality standards through grinding, sanding, deburring, polishing, and general finishing work.

Key Responsibilities

• Fettling, grinding, sanding, polishing, and deburring metal components.
• Using a range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Preparing surfaces to required finish levels.
• Working on fabricated assemblies, stainless steel, mild steel, and sheet metal.
• Inspecting finished parts for quality and accuracy.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area.
• Supporting wider production teams when required.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in metal finishing, fettling, grinding, or similar.
• Confident using hand tools and power tools.
• Good attention to detail and pride in producing high‑quality work.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to set standards.
• A positive, reliable, team‑focused approach.
• Experience in fabrication or engineering environments.
• Knowledge of polishing or deburring techniques (desirable).
• Understanding of Health & Safety.
