Overview
Driver Hire Ashford & Tonbridge are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 ADR (Packages) Driver based in Cranbrook. This is an excellent temporary to permanent opportunity, with the successful candidate joining the client on a permanent contract after a successful 12‑week qualifying period. New ADR licence holders are encouraged to apply – full training will be provided.
Working Hours
- 42.5 hours per week
- 6:00 am starts, Monday to Friday (nights may be possible)
- Some Saturday work required
- Overtime paid after 42.5 hours
Pay & Benefits
- £18.85–£21.13 per hour
- Overtime at £28.28–£31.69 per hour

What You’ll Need
- HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- ADR (Packages) licence
- A minimum of 90 days of HGV driving experience within the last 12 months (insurance requirement)
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No DD or DR convictions within the last year
Your Responsibilities
- Complete multi‑drop deliveries of gas cylinders to residential and commercial customers, including rural locations
- Carry out manual handling as part of your daily duties
- Deliver excellent customer service at every delivery point
- Work safely, professionally and in line with all company procedures and transport legislation
