About the Role
Bath & North East Somerset Council aims to improve people’s lives. This apprenticeship role is part of the IT Service team, supporting the Council’s digital estate by developing and delivering AI and automation solutions to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.
- Support design, testing, and delivery of automation solutions.
- Assist with process mapping, data preparation and user testing.
- Help develop training materials and support adoption of new tools.
Working Arrangements
- Flexible, blended learning experience with hands‑on work across council services.
- Main workplace: Award‑winning Civic Centre in Keynsham, within easy car or public transport access.
About You
We are looking for an individual with a strong interest in AI, automation and digital innovation, who is keen to begin or develop a career in this rapidly growing area. A proactive, collaborative attitude and a willingness to learn are essential.
