Domestic Assistant – Part Time

Here at CrossReach we are looking for a reliable and friendly Domestic Assistant to join our team and help keep our service clean, safe and welcoming. The role requires working roughly 1.5 hours per week and supports the day‑to‑day running of one of our counselling services by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean communal areas, offices and facilities.
• Maintain hygiene standards in line with health and safety requirements.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete basic records.
• Handle cleaning materials safely and use equipment appropriately.
• Work independently, managing time effectively and taking initiative.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience helpful but not essential; training will be provided.
• Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and able to undertake required vetting checks.
• Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or able to meet registration standards.
• Possess legal permission to work in the UK.
• Respectatory of CrossReach’s Christian ethos and able to work within it.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, organisational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
