SEN Learning Support Assistant
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a compassionate and reliable SEN Learning Support Assistant to support pupils in the Farnborough area. This role involves working with students who have a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs, and social, emotional or behavioural challenges.
You will work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent and personalised support, helping pupils access learning, stay engaged in lessons, and develop confidence throughout the school day. Support may be provided on a 1:1 basis or within small groups depending on individual needs.

The Role:
Provide 1:1 support and small‑group assistance for pupils with SENSupport pupils during lessons, activities, and transitionsAssist with emotional regulation and behaviour supportAdapt learning tasks to meet individual needsEncourage confidence, independence, and engagementWork collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staffMaintain a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environmentFollow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young peoplePatient, supportive, and confident approachStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAble to build positive and trusting relationshipsAdaptable and able to respond to varying needsReliable and able to work effectively as part of a teamBackgrounds in SEN, care, youth work, or support roles welcomed

Position: SEN Learning Support AssistantLocation: FarnboroughStart Date: ASAPWorking Pattern: Full‑time, term‑timePay Rate: £14.25 – £15.66 per hourKey Stages: Primary / Secondary
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
SEN or relevant child‑support experience desirableSafeguarding training can be providedUnderstanding of SEN strategies beneficial but not essential
