Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded Group Sales & Community Coordinator to join our commercial & community team, with a focus on the European region. This is a dual‑focus role, split equally between driving group ticket sales through corporate engagement and developing community outreach across Europe.

You will work closely with corporate clients, community organisations, and internal teams to maximise group attendance at SailGP events, while also supporting grassroots community engagement efforts across the region. You will be a key point of contact for group sales enquiries and will play an active role in promoting SailGP events to both corporate and community audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate & Group Coordination – Corporate (50%)

  • Be the link between Community, the Group and Hospitality Sales team, and the wider business
    • Help ensure activities are aligned across Community and Group & Hospitality sales with an efficient lead
    • Work with broader teams, including marketing, comms, and commercial, to identify gaps or areas of overlap to help the HOD’s co‑ordinate activity
  • Help the team drive sales while actively building your own pipeline
    • Distribute central inbound leads to appropriate sales leads
    • Ensure response time KPIs are achieved and responses are documented
    • Proactively identify, develop, and convert group opportunities in the EMEA region
    • Attend internal and external events as required to help build further sales and relationships
  • Manage the CRM system and assist with sales operations
    • Ensure that all sales leads, opportunities and activities are being logged by the sales team
    • Help ensure that the system remains up to date, and setup is optimised for effective selling
    • Assist in the design & deployment of sales automation processes including cold outreach and prospecting
    • Where appropriate, ensure orders are being input into the ticketing system and payments reconciled
  • Help drive the weekly and monthly reporting cadence
    • Distribute weekly reports detailing pipeline activity and sales
    • Assist in designing the weekly and monthly reporting on pipeline, sales and activities to ensure alignment to wider company KPIs

Community Engagement – Europe (50%)

Community Outreach: Support the coordination of community engagement activities across Europe, working closely with the Global Clubs & Community Coordinator to ensure consistent messaging and aligned outreach strategies.

Local Partnerships: Identify and develop relationships with sailing clubs, community groups and grassroots organisations across the European region to drive awareness and attendance at SailGP events.

Content & Communications: Support the distribution of group‑focused communications across the European region, ensuring messaging is relevant to local audiences and aligned with SailGP’s brand voice.

Event Community Support: Where an Event Coordinator is not in place, support on‑the‑ground community activation at key events, working alongside the global team to deliver a consistent and high‑quality community experience.

Tracker & Reporting: Maintain relevant trackers for community engagement activity across the region, contributing to regular reporting on engagement metrics, outreach performance, and ticket sales attribution.

About You

  • Experience in group sales, event coordination, or community engagement, ideally within sport, entertainment, or events.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to engage both corporate clients and community organisations.
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of ticket sales and group revenue targets.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously across different markets.
  • Familiarity with CRM and project management tools (Monday.com experience advantageous).
  • A passion for sailing or watersports is a bonus, but a passion for sport and live events is essential.

Location

SailGP HQ in London, United Kingdom. Hybrid working model with a minimum of three days per week in the London office.

  • Occasional travel to global events may be required.

SailGP is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace committed to building a team culture that celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion.
