Join our expanding team delivering life safety solutions across the central belt and beyond. We have been supplying security systems for seventeen years and have recently expanded into the fire safety compartmentation sector.
The Role
Part‑time position with a team of experienced engineers, responsible for cradle‑to‑grave delivery of minor and major project activity. The role is office‑based in Livingston and may expand to full‑time if the business grows.
We are looking for an ambitious, driven and enthusiastic individual familiar with construction terminology and project planning, ideally on a commercial scale. Good communication skills are required for procuring materials, liaising with clients and synchronising multiple engineers in the delivery of each project. No sales skills are required as all business leads are provided by the Director.
Responsibilities
- Plan a varied range of commercial projects
- Handle various administrative tasks in line with our certification group’s guidelines; receive training in BM Trada’s Q‑Mark Fire Stopping Installation scheme
- Support field engineers remotely; ensure their practical work is accurately logged, processed and filed
- Maintain ongoing training of existing and potential members of staff for competence and legal compliance in fire stopping and fire door installation
Qualifications
- Computer literate with knowledge of record management and e‑planning systems
- Fluency with the Microsoft Office suite
- Numerate
- Excellent written and oral communication skillsArticulate with excellent interpersonal skills
- Current UK driving licence
Additional desirable skills
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of The Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006
- Knowledge and experience of website building
Benefits and Compensation
Salary: £13.50 per hour.
Pay is above national living wage, includes fuel card, expenses and quarterly performance‑based bonuses.
