Summary
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and people-focused Welcome Manager to lead our small but vital Welcome Team at The Argory as part of the Mid Ulster property group.
Based at The Argory, your primary focus will be to inspire, support and develop the Welcome Team, ensuring every visitor receives a warm and memorable experience. You’ll also support at Springhill and Ardress House, helping to deliver a consistently excellent welcome across multiple sites.
As the role spans across different properties, regular travel between sites is required, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential. As part of the role, you’ll also undertake Duty Manager responsibilities, primarily at The Argory, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the site. This will include regular weekend and bank holiday working as part of the duty management rota.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead and manage our team of welcome and service assistants and volunteers. You’ll be responsible for making sure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly in the all-important welcome area. You’ll inspire and care for your team, encouraging them to give the highest standards of service and to help grow our charitable income. You and your team will be focused on helping everyone you meet to have their best possible day, whatever it takes.
You’ll be using good judgement and decision making to lead from the front, in line with National Trust guidelines, values and policies.
You’ll regularly act as duty manager for the whole site, with specific responsibilities including safeguarding, cash and tills, memberships and rota management. Ensure compliance and safety standards are met, creating a secure and accessible environment for visitors and the team.
