Quality Control Engineer

Quality Control Engineer ? Warrington | Hybrid Working ? Up to 55 per hour (Umbrella PAYE)

We’re recruiting for an experienced Quality Control Engineer to support the delivery of complex engineering projects within a highly regulated environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring products, documentation and supplier quality processes meet stringent customer and project requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including Quality Control Plans (QCPs), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), welding procedures and NDT documentation.
• Carry out and coordinate supplier inspections and quality surveillance activities.
• Support engineering teams to define quality control and inspection requirements.
• Identify and resolve supplier quality issues, driving corrective and preventive actions.
• Attend supplier kick-off meetings, design reviews and customer quality meetings.
• Monitor project quality performance and support the close-out of non-conformances.

What we’re looking for:

• Manufacturing apprenticeship (or equivalent) – essential.
• Experience in quality control within manufacturing, fabrication or engineering environments.
• Knowledge of Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Experience within nuclear or another highly regulated industry is desirable.
• CSWIP 3.1, auditor qualifications or HNC/HND in Engineering are advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and supplier quality processes.

Security Clearance: Current SC Clearance is beneficial, or you must be eligible to obtain it.
