The AICS Group specialises in providing community-based rehabilitation and support to our clients who have a brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, learning disabilities and present with complex cognitive, physical, behavioural, emotional and social needs.
The AICS Group is looking for Rehabilitation Support Workers to work with our 8-year-old male client who lives in Kent. This role provides immense job satisfaction, working with a range of health and social care professionals in the client’s home.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our male client had a road traffic accident which subsequently caused brain injury. The client is quiet independent and community access support is needed.
We are looking for Support Workers who can work the hours below at least two days a week*:
School term split shift hours:
Thursdays / Fridays – 7:30am to 04: 00 pm
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Skills:
- Current, clean driving licence
- Own vehicle to drive to and from work
- Willingness and ability to drive the client’s adapted MPV (multi-purpose vehicle)
- Minimum 1 year experience in health and social care
- Minimum 6 months experience working with children with complex needs
- Understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to implement therapy guidelines
- Willingness and ability to work in the client’s home
- Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals
- Willingness to learn and ability to take on feedback
- Good IT skills
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of providing care to people living in the community
