The successful candidate will inspire and challenge pupils as they progress through Upper Key Stage 2, preparing them for the transition into Year 6.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
- Deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons that promote high levels of achievement
- Have high expectations for behaviour, attainment, and pupil progress
- Use assessment effectively to plan and adapt learning for all pupils
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Be committed to contributing to the wider life of the school
The role will involve:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Preparing pupils for the academic expectations of Year 6
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress to ensure excellent outcomes
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with the Upper Key Stage 2 team and senior leaders to drive standards across the school
