Confero Recruitment Groupis delighted to be partnering with an exciting client in their search for an additionalField Service Engineerto join their growing team.

As a result of sustained business growth and the successful award of new contracts within the electricity sector, our client is seeking a highly motivated and proactive professional to support the continued expansion of its operations across the UK.

This role will involve theinstallation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical supportof a diverse range of electrical condition monitoring systems. Working predominantly withinHigh Voltage (HV) substations and electrical compounds, you will travel to customer sites throughout the UK using company-provided vehicles.

In addition to delivering field-based engineering support, the successful candidate will develop into the organisation’sPartial Discharge (PD) specialist, acting as the subject matter expert and providing technical leadership, guidance, and expertise across this key area of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as thePartial Discharge (PD) technical specialistand lead for the Field Service team.
  • Install, commission, and maintain condition monitoring equipment, including:
  • Partial Discharge (PD) monitoring systems
  • Circuit breaker condition monitoring systems
  • SF6 gas density monitoring equipment
  • Transformer Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) systems
  • Install associated communications and monitoring subsystems.
  • Carry out corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on installed equipment.
  • Remove, relocate, and recommission existing monitoring systems as required.
  • Conduct site surveys, inspections, and electrical testing activities.
  • Prepare technical reports, service records, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage and maintain service tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites throughout the UK, with potential opportunities for international travel in the future.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum2 years’ experienceinstalling, maintaining, fault-finding, or troubleshooting electrical equipment.
  • HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and work within HV electrical environments.
  • Full UK driving licence.
