We are working with welcoming and supportive schools across Torfaen who are seeking confident and proactive Behaviour Specialist ALN Teaching Assistants to join their teams this September.This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference, building positive relationships with pupils, and helping learners overcome barriers to education.The Role:
Supporting pupils with a range of ALN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH needsDelivering tailored interventions to support learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeingImplementing positive behaviour management strategies and supporting emotional regulationWorking closely with teachers and pastoral teams to create a supportive learning environmentBuilding strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may present with challenging behaviour
We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an ALN/SEN settingStrong behaviour management skills and experience supporting pupils with behavioural needsA calm, patient and resilient approachThe ability to build positive relationships and act as a positive role modelA proactive and adaptable attitude with a genuine passion for supporting young people
