Youwillbeaprincipaltechnicalauthorityonfireengineering,firesafetydesign,firestrategyandrelatedtechnicalrisk.ItcombinesthedeeptechnicalknowledgeofaCharteredFireEngineerwiththestrategicleadership,peoplemanagement,commercialresponsibilityandclientengagementofanexperiencedFireEngineeringDirector.
ThisroleisremoteandcanbebasedanywhereintheUK,butregulartravelwillbeexpected.
Keyresponsibilitiesinclude;technicalleadershipandassurance,peopleleadershipandcapabilitydevelopment,businessandcommercialmanagement,governanceriskandcompliance
EssentialRequirementsfortherole:
- Chartered Fire Engineer status
- Degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering or a closely related discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering etc.
- Significant senior level experience in fire engineering consultancy, fire safety design or fire safety management across complex, large-scale or safety critical projects.
- Experience leading and developing a technical team of 10+
- Commercial acumen; budget responsibility, resource planning and pricing.
- Experience operating at a Director level reporting into C-Suite or strong Head of Division experience with exposure to Director responsibilities.
- Deep knowledge of UK Building Regulations, approved guidance and standards.
Desirableexperiencewouldberesidential,high-rise,mixeduseorpropertymanagementenvironments.
