General Labourer – Premium Residential Development Rate: £17.00 per hour Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex Contract: Temporary (12 Months) | Start Date: August 2026   Atkinson Baker Associates are currently recruiting a reliable and hardworking General Labourer on behalf of an Award-Winning Boutique Residential Developer.   The Client Our client is a highly respected regional developer renowned for delivering bespoke, high-specification residential homes across the South East. They are breaking ground on an exclusive new development in Haywards Heath this August and require dedicated site staff for the full 12-month duration of the build.   The Role Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring it remains safe, organized, and efficient for the incoming trades.   Your duties will include:

  • Site Maintenance: Keeping the site clean, tidy, and free of hazards to comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Manual Handling: Unloading deliveries and safely moving materials to various work areas.
  • Trade Support: Assisting skilled tradespeople with general tasks when required.
  • Site Setup: Helping with the erection of temporary fencing and basic site preparation works.

Requirements

  • Essential: A valid CSCS Card.
  • Essential: Full 5-point PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel-toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses).
  • Experience: Previous experience working as a Labourer on a residential construction site is highly preferred.
  • Reliability: Strong punctuality and a solid work ethic to commit to a 12-month project.

Location & Commute Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
