Setting Out Engineer / Site Engineer – Groundworks (Finchley)

We are currently recruiting an experienced Setting Out Engineer / Site Engineer for a groundworks project in Finchley.

• Location: Finchley
• Start Date: ASAP (no later than 20/07/2026)
• Duration: 5 weeks
• Rate: Negotiable, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate setting out and surveying for drainage, paving, and kerbing works.
• Conduct quality control checks and maintain accurate site records.
• Assist with the supervision and coordination of subcontractors on site.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card.
• Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer, Site Engineer, or Engineering Surveyor.
• Minimum 3 years' UK groundworks experience.
• Competent in using Leica TS07 total station.
• Proficient with surveying instruments and experienced in setting out.
• Good understanding of method statements, risk assessments, QA procedures, and site documentation.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.

Rates are open to negotiation depending on experience.
