Are you an experienced Senior Design Engineer with a passion for creating innovative, commercially successful packaging solutions? We are looking for a talented leader to join our Design Team and take ownership of packaging projects from concept through to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging design projects from concept through to production.
• Develop innovative, cost-effective and sustainable packaging solutions.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Manage and develop a small design team.
• Ensure designs meet quality, regulatory and manufacturing requirements.
• Support product trials, continuous improvement initiatives and new product launches.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design or a related discipline.
• Proven experience designing packaging solutions within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD, AutoCAD, TOPS and Cape Pack).
• Excellent understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and structural design.
• Experience with ISTA, ASTM and ISO testing standards.
• Strong project management, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Passion for innovation, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality solutions.
