Manager, Engineering Lead – Platform Infrastructure (12‑month fixed‑term contractor)
In our continuous journey of growth and innovation at Carnival UK, we are seeking an engineering leader to bring fresh insights and expertise to our technology department.
This role is positioned at CUK07 level within our organisation. It is available on a full‑time, fixed‑term basis for 12 months. We offer hybrid work, including up to two days from home.
Responsibilities
- Lead operational management of platform infrastructure across hybrid cloud and legacy environments.
- Coordinate and govern engineering activities delivered by external engineering partners and vendors.
- Hold vendors accountable for delivery quality, technical standards and adherence to processes.
- Act as the bridge between technical engineering teams and business stakeholders while supporting business‑as‑usual operations and project delivery activity.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong cloud infrastructure and platform engineering knowledge with experience in hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Terraform, Jenkins, infrastructure automation and cloud‑native technologies.
- Experience providing engineering governance, technical oversight and managing outsourced engineering providers or technical vendors.
