Overview

Contracts Manager: The Contracts Manager will manage SP&S deals from a contracting and commercial perspective throughout the deal lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment during all phases. The role includes negotiating contract terms and conditions, providing commercial and contractual leadership, and developing practical ways to identify and mitigate contract risk.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contractual agreements with customers and support cross-functional teams in contract negotiation, ensuring alignment with defined deal strategies.
  • Support bid teams in proposal development, risk management (including deal risk and governance adherence — deal reviews, etc.), scope definition, pricing and incentives, customer communications, and issue resolution.
  • Manage commercial and contractual aspects of non-complex projects during the execution phase, including commercial arrangements, variation orders, contract negotiation, amendments, and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific contractual administration requirements (establish and maintain the project variation control system, manage invoicing, etc.).
  • Provide advice and assistance to cross-functional teams on contractual matters.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks across project scopes of work by controlling the overall project risk and opportunity review and reporting process.
  • Lead negotiations in line with contract requirements, including supporting the formulation and negotiation of project contractual claims and counterclaims.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law/Business or related experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Understanding of key contractual and commercial risks and areas for opportunity; ability to lead project risk review processes and assessments.
  • Negotiating skills to secure favorable outcomes and flexibility to understand and negotiate alternative contractual and commercial positions with customers (subject to approval).
  • Commercial acumen and business understanding.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective team player.
  • Willing to travel.

Work Arrangement
